Quote:
"God can give up on you today." -- J Jacob.
This statement can be heard on the Hebron Gsospel Hall website. Click on ,Audio and go to the sermon on Joshua: Conquest of Jericho, 8th March 2015. J Jacob. There is more there that will concern the Bible believer.
The God I know is longsuffering and merciful. He is a Saviour God. Whsoever calleth on the name of the Lord shall be saved.... unless God has got fed up waiting for you, apparently, according to Jacob.
Jacob has uttered this pernicious view on more than one occasion. He has a very limited view of the truth of Scripture.
We do not expect any Bicesterphiles to be the slightest bit bothered by Jacob's lies.
We understand that Dr. J Jacob and his wife are under investigation by the GMC for alleged misconduct.
This site deals with the scriptural grounds for gathering, and cuts away the cant and bigotry put up by those who have crept in unawares. Beware their wares. I'll tell you about them. Go to ; www.morewaymarks.blogspot.co.uk Contact me, Ron Smith at waymarks@ntlworld.com

Killamarsh Brethren's Referendum passed in favour of receiving adulterers
We hear that
the Brethren assembly in Killamarsh has taken a democratic vote on the divorce
issue. Subsequent to this an adulterer has been received into fellowship.
Whosoever putteth away his wife,
and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is
put away from her husband committeth adultery. Luke 16: 18
These words,
spoken by the Lord, are so crystal clear they hardly need comment.
The “But, But”
men will object. These words must be seen in their context, and compared with
other Scriptures, they tell us. That is, certain men, scoffers, believe the
Lord contradicted Himself elsewhere.
What of the
context of Luke 16? A superficial reading might
suggest verse 18 does not fit
into the context. It appears to have little to do with what went before or what
follows after.
A Bible
believer will understand the context. The Lord in v;15, said That which
is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God
The liberty
to make marriage vows in the sight of God and then break them is highly
esteemed among men. In the sight of God this is an abomination. God has never
changed His mind regarding abominations and thus, in this context, all are
reminded of the abiding standing of God’s law.
Then the
context following v.18 gives us an example of a man who no doubt highly
esteemed divorce. A man, we note, who
went down into hell. A God-hater.
So we note
the defiant nature of the mischievous men in Killamarsh.
And what of
any among their flock who objected to the referendum? Those who do not wish to
sit down and break bread with adulterers? They will have to be punished for
their divisive behaviour.
Come ye out
from amongst them and be ye separate, saith the Lord

J Ritchie's Tainted Poem. April 2015
John Grant, in his Believers Magazine, has published a poem titled "Untainted".
It mocks Scripture and is therefore a seriously tainted poem.
We read
It mocks Scripture and is therefore a seriously tainted poem.
We read
"Prising out the nails that makes Him fall from
the accursed tree;
Creation looks on Him, relying, in His hand
all hope is found,
Yet the King of Life is lying, cold and silent
on the ground."
My Bible tells me this man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.and he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre (Luke 23: 52,53
Joseph took the body down. Therefore it did not fall.
Next, we read,
"He who gave the myrrh its savour, by whose
hand the spice is grown,
Now the object of God’s favour, takes their
fragrance for His own."
But the Scripture tells us
Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they [the women] came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. (Luke 24: 1-3)
God did not permit the anointing of the body of Jesus. His body did not, could not, see corruption.
Again,
"Watching while the blessed Anointed lies a
captive there asleep."
This is sheer blasphemy. At death He cried with a loud voice, Father into thy hands I commend my spirit.
and "captive"?? If our poet meant Christ went down to Hell, then our poet must be a Christ hater. The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations thast forget God. 9Psalm 9: 170
My Saviour was never captive, under any condition.
The unbelieving approach to the inspiration of Scripture is yielding its filthy results.
