Henry Craik. 19th Century Bible Corrector

That the authorised English Version of the Holy Scriptures contains several passages capable of being more accurately rendered, is a statement which none, who are familiar with the inspired originals, will be disposed to dispute.  ̶  H Craik; Improved Renderings; preface; Bagster; 1866

What arrogance on the part of Henry Craik of Bristol! What a lie!  What gross stupidity!  What blindness on the part of Brethren (and other) preachers who have followed him and all the Bible mutilators, ever since.
Craik wrote of the “inspired originals”. In this he referred to the manuscripts in which Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, Peter,  James, Jude, had   recorded directly, words of Scripture, directed by the Holy Spirit.
These manuscripts were faithfully copied and recopied  by Bible believing disciples until the manuscripts were worn out. They haven’t been seen by human eye for well nigh 2000 years.

When Craik wrote of being familiar with these manuscripts, his character was revealed. He was a hoaxer.
We are not surprised that there is now hardly a Brethren preacher who can hold a bible in his hand and pronounce it to be Scripture, the Word of God, from the first word in Genesis to the final word in Revelation.

If we do not have a Bible 100% trustworthy, we have nothing.

Such is the apostasy of the day.
